Looking for some sunburn treatment right in your home? Try one of these for relief!
Looking for sunburn treatment around the house? You have come to the right place!
I know the pain of a sunburn. I'm as fair as they come! There is a reason my nickname in school was "Casper"!
Consequently, over the years I have collected some great home remedies for sunburn treatment from family and friends. Some of them may sound a little crazy, but everyone promises me that they work!
(As always, check with your doctor before self-treating especially if the sunburn is a bad one!)
Home Remedies for SUNBURN:
1. Soak in a tub of warm water and either baking soda or apple cider vinegar.
2. Chop cucumbers into slices and apply to the burned area.
3. Apply a mixture of 1 part tomato juice and 6 parts buttermilk to the burned area.
4. Apply Aloe Vera Gel (Or if you have an aloe vera plant, cut a leaf and apply fresh aloe to the burn!)
5. After rinsing the area with cool water, spray the affected area with spray starch (like you use for ironing)
6. Use Vitamin A&D diaper rash ointment (Do NOT use any other type of diaper rash ointment. It could make your sunburn worse!)
Remember...
It is better to just avoid sunburns altogether by wearing
sunblock or sunscreen,
wear protective clothing or stay out of the sun all together!
Not only will it keep your risk of skin cancer down, it will help you stay looking younger too!
Also, don't forget those regular visits to your doctor or dermatologist for skin checks. It is always wise to try and catch skin cancer early!
