Find a home pet remedy for everything from ear mites to hairballs here!

Need some great home pet remedy ideas for the furry member of your family? Check out these great tips!

(As always, check with your vet before attempting medical treatment for your pet!)

1. Doggie Breath Freshener: Use a 20oz or larger soft drink bottle and fill halfway with cold water. Add a VERY small drop of peppermint oil (.05ml) and shake it up. Then, fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake again. Pour into dog's bowl!

2. Freshen Dog Beds (and keep fleas away!): Add 3 drops of lavendar oil to one quart of warm water in a spray bottle. Spray the dog's bedding. The lavendar oil will keep the fleas away too!!

3. To stop your cat from having hairballs, add a spoonful of pumpkin to her food daily or add a small drop of fish oil to her food once a week.

4. To cure ear mites mix together 1/2 oz of almond oil and 1/2 oz of vitamin E and add a few drops to your animal's ears. Then, wipe ears with cotton swab. The oil will smother the mites and help heal the ear.

5. To help relieve the itch and pain of an insect bite, dab a mixture of baking soda and water on the bite.

6. To stop a bleeding toenail, dip the toenail in cornstarch or baby powder or rake the toenail over a dry bar of soap to stop the bleeding.
