Healthy Grocery List On A Budget

Here are a few quick tips on saving money on your healthy grocery list:

1. Look for sales and match with coupons. I find great deals regularly on things like olive oil (I usually can get it for around $2.50 a bottle), whole grain pasta, greek yogurt, beans,herbal tea and frozen veggies (I usually pay less than $1.00 for frozen veggies.) I buy enough to last me 6 weeks at a time.

2. Buy produce when it is on sale. Wash it and freeze it for later. It isn't great raw once it has been frozen. But, the fruit is great to use in smoothies, oatmeal or as a frozen treat in the summer. Vegetable can be steamed or grilled and taste great!

3. Look for in store sales and manager's specials. As long as the expiration date hasn't passed, the food is still good. I find great deals on organics all the time! I always buy as much as they have on the shelf.
