Antibacterial Vs Regular Soap. Is one better than the other?

Antibacterial vs Regular Soap. Is one better for you than the other? 75% of today's products state they are "Antibacterial", but does that make them better?

ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP PROS and CONS:

1. The antibacterial agent in soaps take up to 2 minutes to take affect. Most people don't wash their hands long enough for this to take affect.

2. Some scientists to theorize that our bodies build-up a resistance to bateria over time and can cause bacteria to become stronger and harder to treat with medication

3. Often common diseases are viral and bacterial, so antibacterial soap doesn't affect them anyway

BOTTOM LINE:

The CDC does not recommend antibacterial soaps. They recommed regular hand washing for 20-30 seconds with normal soap.

And remember, don't touch your eyes, nose or mouth before washing either to help prevent the spread of disease!
